نبذه عن القسم


يتبوأ قسم علوم الفيزياء الطبية  مكانة علمية متفردة في الوسط العلمي الاكاديمي محلياً وعربياً ويؤدي دورا تطبيقياً فاعلاً ومؤثراً  في الميدان الفيزيائي  والطبي , ملبياً بذلك حاجات المجتمع ومتطلبات سوق العمل . يتمتع قسم علوم الفيزياء  بكادر علمي رصين وطاقات استيعابية تمكنها من  تحقيق الرؤى التي تسعى اليها.


من مهام القسم الرئيسية هو اعداد كوادر مدربة تدريبا عاليا في مجال تخصص الطبي  و كذلك العلاج الاشعاعي والطبيعي بحيث يتميز الخريج بمستوى عال من المعرفة والابداع في التعامل مع الأجهزة الطبية المستخدمة في هذا التخصص وما يتلاءم مع المعايير الطبية المعتمدة عالميا في ضمان الجودة ، والاعتماد الاكاديمي في تحليل النتائج بموجب طرائق الإحصاء الحياتي والبرامج الطبية المناظرة في قسم علوم الفيزياء الطبية .

1-توفير الملاكات الطبية الكفؤة والمؤهلة في التخصصات الدقيقة في مجال الفيزياء الطبية لهم القدرة على تقديم خدمات طبية ساندة في مجال التشخيص والمعالجة بجودة عالية   لسد حاجة البلد على وفق متطلبات التنمية الطبية والاقتصادية وتأمين الملاكات التدريسية في الجامعات والمعاهد.

2- بناء وتأهيل قسم علمي متكامل مستند على تجارب علمية متميز تتناغم مع سوق العمل وتلبية احتياجات المؤسسات العلمية واتباع أساليب علمية تواكب وتنافس الأقسام المماثلة في الجامعات المحلية والعالمية.

3- الاهتمام بجميع وسائل العلاج بما في ذلك الفوتون، والالكترون، والجسيمات , والعلاجات الحرارية والاستئصال الجراحي باستخدام الموجات فوق الصوتية , والتصوير المقطعي  بالأشعة , والتصوير الاشعاعي , والتنظير , وكذلك الموجات فوق الصوتية والرنين المغناطيسي والمقاومة الكهربائية والتصوير الطبي النووي .

4-التركيز على البحث العلمي ودوره الأساسي في خدمة المجتمع عن طريق اجراء البحوث التطبيقية من خلال مشاريع البحث العلمي للطلبة.

5-السعي للانفتاح على مؤسسات القطاع العام ذات العلاقة لأعداد الدورات التدريبية المختلفة لتطوير قدرات كوادرنا الطبية.

6-السعي الحثيث لتحسين الأداء لتحقيق ضمان الجودة الشاملة.
